Quality assurance or peer review
This service reviews a document before it is finalised, submitted or published.
When you’ve been immersed in writing a document, it’s hard to step back from it. Capire’s quality assurance service gives you an objective assessment from the viewpoint of your readers.
This service usually involves a face-to-face or online meeting. We want to understand the background to your document; why you are writing it; who you are writing it for; and what your key messages are.
We look at how readable the document is for the intended audience, how well it achieves your purpose and objectives, and how well it meets other requirements (such as your contractual expectations, a template or funding criteria).
We provide you with written feedback on the strengths and weaknesses of the document, and suggestions on how to improve it. You can apply the suggestions yourself or choose our writing, editing or data visualisation services to do the work for you.
Bids, funding proposals and tenders
Our quality assurance service is particularly useful if you’re taking part in a competitive funding process and there’s a lot at stake.
Capire specialises in writing funding proposals. Our lead writer, Helen Bradford, has worked as an assessor for New Zealand Government funding, and knows what’s important to funders. We will critically assess your bid, tender or funding proposal and give you feedback on whether it meets the selection criteria and can be easily understood by a selection panel.
Capire is a leading New Zealand writing consultancy for governments, NGOs and international development agencies. We help organisations transform their complexity into plain English.
